One of the most popular items we offer is the engagement session with the signature sign-in guest book. These books are soooo fun and definitely something you will want to share with guests in your new home!
We take your favorite engagement session images and create this beautiful book for them to sign at your wedding. The guests will sign it "yearbook style." This is so much better than the traditional guest books where they just sign their names on the lines. This book ALWAYS creates a buzz at our weddings. Guests LOVE getting to see your engagement images too!

I had the PLEASURE of meeting Janet Phillips and her family last night to do some family portraits for them. They are from Orlando, FL but were coming through this area and emailed me to see if I could capture their family. She wrote the sweetest email about how she has always admired my work and was very excited about being close enough to schedule an appointment with me. The whole family was super sweet! Their kids are just ADORABLE!! She really wanted to just capture some images of them and the kids and their relationships. I hope this is what she had in mind.
We got the traditional family photo out of the way first…
Since Janet takes lots of candids of the kids everyday, I tried to do a variety of posed and candid.
Can I just say that I *LOVE* this one. Daddy’s and their little girls just melt my heart EVERYTIME!

I haven’t shared any album images in a while and I found these on the computer today while I was doing some backing up of files. This is one of our custom fine art books… one in 10×10 and one in 4×4 for mom to carry around! ;-) The colors in it are SOOO VIBRANT!
(Also one of my FAVORITE couples from 2007 who have become good friends AND are expecting their first baby in September!!!)

One of my favorite things about my job is traveling and getting to photograph in new places. Katy and Wes had me come down to Manila, Arkansas to shoot their engagement session on Wes’ family farm. It was GORGEOUS out there and a perfect location for their shoot! These two are super sweet and I can’t wait for their wedding later this year in Jonesboro!
Wes wanted a more traditional posed session while Katy wanted something a little more modern. I tried to aim for the middle… let me know how I did. Ü

I always get lots of emails asking me to show "before & after" shots of my post processing. I do my very best to capture everything near perfect in the camera. After all, that is what photography is all about. However, there are times when I see an image a certain way in my head and know that it will take a little work in the digital darkroom to get it perfect for me! Here are a few examples…

I am not one to do really "artsy, out there" images. I just want them to be what I see in my head as I am taking the shot. Sometimes that requires a little post processing work. They are still very natural looking images… just have a little lovin’ added to them in the digital darkroom! I want my images to stand the test of time. I don’t want the couple to look back on there images in 20 years and see some "fad" that was going on at the time of their wedding. My personal wedding images are filled with that awful soft focus filter and star filter that was so popular in the back then. Ick! I do NOT want that for my clients. I want their images to stand the test of time… beautiful, classic and timeless!

This was such a unique wedding and I was so happy to be a part of it. They were married at the Town Square in Collierville and then had their reception at The Tennessean Restaurant (it is inside train cars - very cool!). The whole event went off without a hitch and was just a beautiful wedding with their family and closest friends.
What a beautiful wedding filled with personality… LOVE it!

Want to have a reception that your guests keep talking about long after its over? Think about doing something creative and FUN! I have seen these choreographed dances a few times before, but this has to be the BEST one by far that I have seen! A new take on the "first dance."
